Description
VINIFICATION
- Grapes are carefully picked at different timing as well as fermented in different French oak barrels. Continued to age for approximately for 7 months on lees.
- Lee-stirring was conducted regularly once a week for 1 month, then once two weeks for following 2 months during post-fermentation period.
TASTING NOTE
- Lemon green coloured wine with aroma of citrus such as lemon, grapefruit, and a hint of white flower. Moderate oak tone like toast, vanilla and fresh and juicy fruity flavour are harmonized and balanced well.
- It suits for pairing with a wide range of food; not only Japanese food but Spanish and Italian food as well.

The winery was established in 1938 as a local grower association with the neighbouring viticulturists. They vinify local grown grapes from Katsunuma district to produce the wines with their philosophy as the best wines are to be made from the locally grown grapes. L’Orient named from a French term for ‘oriental’, expresses their focus and passion to raise to be a representative winery of Asia in the global wine market.
